Holes with worn edges and depressions can be used for dishing. Large holes are useful for turning edges on pipe or tubing. The swages on the outside edges can be used with matching top swages for forging a number of shapes and sizes. Or hot metal can be hammered in the swage cavity forming it into the shape of the swage. The square holes can support hardies and stakes.
